So…. I am taking the next 2 years and figure out what I want. Maybe I will find someone new, and maybe in the end it will be my current girlfriend who I settle down with, I don’t know.

Medium Size Companies Lead HR Outsourcing
Medium-sized companies are set to lead the way in signing HR outsourcing deals during 2005, after a large rise in contracts last year. In 2004, for the first time, ‘mid-to-large’ businesses - as opposed to ‘large to very large’ businesses - dominated HR outsourcing, according to analyst firm Datamonitor.
Apparently teachers shouldn’t tell a female student who told the class she enjoys brushing their teeth with an electric toothbrush that nobody want’s to hear her ‘vibrator story.’ And if you do have to make that comment, you shouldn’t also tell another girl “she could put on fishnet stockings and get a job as a blackjack dealer in Las Vegas.”

I’m all for teachers having a lighthearted approach to teaching, but a few of this teacher’s comments really do go over the line. Of course, I, personally, would have loved to have had a class with the guy as it sure would have made learning more fun.

One day remains to complete the survey.

On a related note, seekers of justice may wish to read “Is Alternative Dispute Resolution Consistent with the Rule of Law?” by Jean Sternlight, Michael and Sonja Saltman Professor of Law and Director of the Saltman Center for Conflict Resolution, University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Sternlight asks,

What is the relationship between alternative dispute resolution (ADR) and the rule of law? In the United States, critics often argue that the informal, private nature of ADR is hostile to the rule of law–and ultimately to justice itself. Yet over the last ten years, a broad, international array of groups has advocated including ADR in projects designed to foster the rule of law in other countries. This Article explores the paradox. Have we erred in condemning ADR domestically or in promoting it internationally? Or does the desirability of ADR depend upon the nature of the system in which it is being utilized? By studying this paradox, we can enrich our understanding of the ultimate purposes of both ADR and the rule of law, and thus assist our search for justice.
File that under inappropriate comments are fun.
Companies with between 5,000-25,000 employees did more broad-based business processing outsourcing deals including HR functions, according to Datamonitor. In the past, companies with more than 25,000 employees were the ones signing HR outsourcing deals.

The Republicans are masters at getting the “values” vote. Before elections the Republican Party throws the bait of homosexuality and religion towards its base and they swallow it every time. It is important to remember that our Dear Leader still enjoys considerable popularity and support in this part of the United States and come election time this group can again put the Republicans in the White House.

Before the 2004 elections a lot of Americans thought that Bush’s days in the White House were numbered. It was expected that because of the Iraq fiasco the Bush administration had a very low chance of winning the election. Well, guess what happened? The same result has a good chance of being repeated. This is why I think the viewpoints expressed in the article can be best described as an anomaly. Also,

Still, some Southern women remain stalwart supporters of the president and the Republican Party. At a watermelon festival in Chickamauga, in the mountains of northwest Georgia, substitute teacher Clydeen Tomanio said she remains committed to the party she’s called home for 43 years.

“There are some people, and I’m one of them, that believe George Bush was placed where he is by the Lord,” Tomanio said. “I don’t care how he governs, I will support him. I’m a Republican through and through.”

Only Jesus can save us now.

An Advice From France

September 7, 2006 @ 2:12 pm - Filed under Krapfest

The United States is currently employing what could be classified as the worst method of fighting terrorism. A covert method of fighting can only be countered with covert ways: intelligence gathering, police work and constant vigiliance. The French agree:

“Let us not forget that these crises play into the hands of all extremists,” the prime minister said in a debate on the Middle East. “We can see this with terrorism, whether it tries to strike inside or outside our frontiers,” he added.

“Against terrorism, what’s needed is not a war. It is, as France has done for many years, a determined fight based on vigilance at all times and effective cooperation with our partners.

“But we will only end this curse if we also fight against injustice, violence and these crises,” he said.

Outsourcing Works For Beauty China
Yahoo Finance reports Beauty China Holdings, a small Hong Kong-based, Singapore-listed cosmetics concern, has quietly doubled its sales and profits in China during the past two years by tapping into a global strategy: outsourcing.

Sam Wong, Beauty China’s founder and controlling shareholder, sets the strategy and develops ideas for makeup, packaging and marketing campaigns. He farms out production to a handful of Chinese manufacturers and sells products directly to about 90 independent distributors who get them sold at 700 outlets in China. Beauty China doesn’t own any outlets, but as part of its arrangements with distributors, the company can specify how retail displays are designed and decorated.
This process started about 4 months ago when she left, and on the advice of my best friend I am letting the world know every aspect of this process. You may like some things, and hate others, but it is who I am :)
